Agadir, Morocco · Est. in the Atlas tradition

Two thousand years of mesorah.
One perfect etrog.

Grown in our family's field in Agadir, home of the ancient Atlas Mountains lineage, and hand-selected for your Sukkot.

The Moroccan Etrog

Rooted in history

Long before etrogim crossed oceans, they grew quietly in the valleys of Morocco. Tradition holds that Jewish communities planted the first etrog trees in the Atlas Mountains nearly two thousand years ago, after the destruction of the Second Temple. Generation after generation, the trees were tended, the seeds preserved, and the lineage guarded. Never grafted. Never compromised.

To this day, ancient wells near the groves of the Souss region still carry the Hebrew names of the Jews who dug them centuries ago. The Moroccan etrog is not simply a fruit. It is a living chain of tradition, and one we are honored to continue.

About Argaman

A family in the field for nearly thirty years

Argaman Etrogim is a family business, led by a grower who has spent almost three decades with the Moroccan etrog. We don't buy from middlemen. We grow. Every Argaman etrog begins in our own field in Agadir: cultivated through the year, inspected on the branch, and harvested by hands that know exactly what a kosher, beautiful etrog must be.

Experience like this cannot be rushed. It is measured in seasons — nearly thirty of them.

Kashrut

Certified. Trusted. Endorsed.

The lineage of a Moroccan etrog means little without certification behind it. Argaman Etrogim carries rabbinic certification and haskamot from recognized authorities, attesting to the kashrut and ungrafted purity of our etrogim.
